Was told I owed money for debt collectors I said do I who do I owe , couldn't tell me so I told him that's because I don't and was told to

Claiming to be from Citizens Advice who apparently have been informed about my outstanding debt status. Is this not a gross breach of one of the 8 principles of the Data Protection Act? Scum caller, and yes i meant to write scum.
