Said she was from Openreach calling about my computer. I hung up.
February 8, 2017 I was called by an Indian person saying they were from BT Open Reach and there was a problem with my broadband. I said I would phone BT direct and hung up as this was 8.20am I thought it was a scam.
February 7, 2017 Claim to be BT Openreach. I don't believe. Have been phoning me all day.
February 6, 2017 They called me today - pretending to be from BT. Then the old scam: they'd detected illegal/fraudulent activity on my broadband - please start up your computer.... I don't understand why they aren't traced and closed down. We have international agreements
February 5, 2017 The same call centre, I suspect, using all sorts of different numbers. The audible tones and background noise are always the same. The problem is that so many companies in the UK have outsourced their technical support etc TO India, so it can be confusing
February 5, 2017 This number has phoned me constantly over the past two days and when I answer I just get a machine whirring and then goodbye. An hour later it does the same again.
January 24, 2017 It's difficult to do this because there are hundreds of comments a day. Nope. Most of the comments are posted without going through the approval mechanism. If a problem is found in the comment on the phone number, the person who sent the comment is banned.
