This number rang us today , purporting to be fromHMRC , and to press button five to connect , we put it down This is the second time they've called, don't understand how this scam works ? Anyone any idea?

This was a automated call saying he was from HMRC ?.TAX office and the office had been trying to get in touch with me as they are going to take me to court and to press 5 on my phone to speak to my case worker.

Male voiced automated call. "HMRC are filing a case against you, please press (key) to talk to your case officer" - I rang off, discovered that HMRC are obviously the Government Tax Office who I am sure will contact me by another method if they want me. N
