Received a call from Asian 14:20 today saying from BT saying he was giving 35% discount for Xmas and needs Bank account details .. Its disgraceful this is still happening what if it is elderly person who gets this call and gives there bank account number?

April 25, 2021 I too had a call from an Asian sounding man offering me generous discounts on my BT bill.
When I queried this he repeatedly asked me to confirm my postcode as I believe he was trying to trick me into giving the correct one. Realised this was a scam

April 25, 2021 Had a call at 4.12pm today from an Asian sounding man called "Robin", wanting to discuss my BT bill. I told him I don't have a BT bill, Robin/robbing seems to be a very good name for him, plus we are on TPS, these people should be blocked by BT.

Like all the other reports above, I had a very persistent 'Asian' sounding person who rang back twice this afternoon after I told him I didn't believe a word he was saying.
