Just had a call from this number obvious it was a scam told me he was from BT and needed to shut down my internet for 10 days - yeah right! Told him not happening and he hung up. Tried ringing the number and it wasn't recognised, contacted BT who said no

I have also received a similar call and, like with you, when I asked for him to tell me my name he got it wrong. When I said I would contact BT myself, he hung up.
